Morning Guided Play

Ready to take what you learned in Mahj 101 and put it into practice? Guided Play is the perfect next step for players who understand the basics of American Mahjong but would like a little extra support while building confidence at the table.

During this relaxed, instructor-guided session, you'll play actual games while receiving help with strategy, Charleston decisions, building your hand, reading the NMJL card, exposures, and those inevitable “What should I do now?” moments.

Guided Play is designed to help you become more comfortable making decisions independently so you'll feel ready to join Booked Play and enjoy a game with friends.

Prerequisite: Players must have completed a Mahj 101 course with an instructor and have a basic understanding of American Mahjong, including the tiles, Charleston, NMJL card, and general flow of play.

Perfect for players who: have taken Mahj 101 but aren't quite ready to play independently, want more hands-on practice, or simply need a confidence boost before joining regular play.
